Financial Aid Questions for RLT Therapy

  1. Are there RLT Therapists that accept Medicare/health insurance?

There are very few Medicare therapists and they do not cover marital therapy, it is a national problem.

Some that take health insurance, but getting contracts with commercial insurance is not an easy process and many carriers are not even accepting applications stating the market is already saturated with in-network providers.

LMFTs are not covered at all by Medicare (the bill is up in congress right now).

In Canada most health plans cover psychologists, and some cover counsellors - it's a very different system than the States.

  1. I am not able to afford an RLT Therapist, are there any other options for me?

We have some RLT practitioners that work at a sliding-scale rate, you can find their contact information connecting with the Relational Life https://www.relationallifefoundation.org/affordable-couples-therapy.htmlFoundation.
